The Corrosive Effect of Perfect Privacy & Perfect Anonymity
At a recent workshop on age-based restrictions on content access, co-hosted by the Internet Architecture Board and W3C, concerns were raised about the chilling effect of surveillance on free speech. This document is a response to those concerns, highlighting some of the significant harms already being suffered by vulnerable groups due to the abuse of privacy and anonymity protections.
